Q: “I want to know about sex toys. Please Help Me!” Part 1: External Toys

LET’S TALK ABOUT TOYS! And vibrators, Dildos, Nipple Clamps… This is my Favorite area to talk about. I am Extremely passionate about this. And I’m passionate about making sure that people have access to Safe toys to give them safe pleasure. We have our external toys and our internal toys. These are not meant to be inserted into the body and are there to provide sensation to the external parts of your body. So this is The Body Wand… it is a very strong vibrator that you can put onto the area that you want to stimulate and the vibrations spread into the tissue, providing the sensation. So you have things like this, that can be used on the clitoris, the labia, it can be used on nipples and it’s an excellent back massager. In fact, I used to use this when I had very long-standing days and I would just die as I could just melt away all of the stress of my muscles. You can also get a lot smaller ones like this little guy, one of my favorites. It’s the We-Vibe Tango and this is a very precise pinpointed external vibrator that can be used for precise stimulation of the clitoris, of the nipples, of the frenulum, on the penis, on the glans of the penis on the testicles as well. And then, you can have things like this (shows small lemon-shaped vibrator), that have that more precise stimulation or more general stimulation as well. It’s the Minna Lemon and it increases its vibration depending on how hard you squeeze the bulb. It’s very tactile enforced. If you don’t want to be pressing buttons, to increase the simulation, you can get ones like these and they help. Speed up or slow down the vibrations. These are more popular nowadays, they’re the air pulse toys. You can get them with or without vibration. How they work is that they pulsate air in and out and you put the area that you want stimulated right over the hole and it creates a sucking sensation. So if you find that you really like to get your nipple sucked or your clitoris sucked or again, the frenulum, then this is perfect for this. It does that pulsating kind of sucking sensation in all those areas. Finally what I have for external, are things like the paddle right here or these floggers. And so again, these are not for internal play, but they are to provide impact play on two specific areas of the body. What impact play does, is it increases blood circulation to that area and so it increases sensitivity. It also helps to kind of play a little bit with a psychological aspects of sex. We also have, which can be in that kind of more kink sphere, along with the paddles and floggers, are our clamps which are only for external use. Clamps work by blocking off the blood flow to a specific area. You can see how my pinky and my finger is getting a little bit more pink and that’s because the blood is being trapped in that area. Nipple clamps are really popular for people who like that kind of a little bit of a numbing sensation while they’re applied. And then it’s a little bit of an erotic pain sensation when they get removed as the blood starts rushing back into that area. You want to make sure that with nipple clamps, you don’t wear them for more than 15 minutes. Wear them for shorter periods of time if you’re just getting used to the sensation. Maybe also like on your finger, just to feel how tight that can be and to get accustomed to that sensation. In a similar vein, we’ve got the pumps, which work to increase stimulation in a different way. What they do is they pull in some of the skin and which pulls in blood into that area that is being suctioned. That, in itself, increases the sensitivity of the area. Again, you don’t want to use them for more than 15 minutes and I very much recommend starting at just the one minute mark. Maybe putting it on your arm, instead, just to get used to the sensation could. It is very different to the clamps and it’s very different to vibration.
